Packing, done right

Packing-list app – the list you reuse every time

Write down what has to come along once, properly, and then never start from scratch again. MerkIchMir is a packing list to tick off: charger not forgotten, passport ticked – and after the holiday you reset everything and the list is ready for next time.

A packing list to tick off in the MerkIchMir app
Tick off as you pack – and reset the checkmarks after the trip.

How to build your packing list

  1. Create a new list – "Holiday packing", "Camping", "Festival".
  2. Add everything that regularly comes along. For tech stuff, a photo instead of a long description.
  3. While packing, tap it: packed = ticked, slides down.
  4. After the trip, "restore all done" – the list stands ready for the next one.

A template that fits you

Printed standard packing lists off the internet never quite fit: too much stuff you never take, and the one thing you always forget is missing. Your own list in MerkIchMir gets better with every trip – you add what was missing once, and from then on it's on there.

Sharing with the travel group

If several of you are going, you share the packing list: in the 🛠 menu tap "Share list", sign in once with your email, then add the fellow travellers' email addresses. Each signs in with theirs and sees what has to come along together – tent, cool box, washing-up kit – and ticks off what's already in the car. No "I thought you were bringing that". More on that on Sharing lists.

What people use the packing list for

Frequently asked

Can I keep the packing list for next time?

Yes. After the trip you reset all the checkmarks and the list is fully ready for the next one – or you copy it into a new list.

Can the whole travel group look at one packing list?

Yes. You add the fellow travellers' email addresses to the shared list; each signs in with theirs and ticks off what they've packed – handy for family, camping or a festival.

Are there ready-made templates?

You build your own list once and reuse it every time. That's the trick – a template that fits your travel style.

Can I put photos on the packing list?

Yes. Charger, adapter or that one cable – just photograph it instead of describing it.

What does the app cost?

The app is free, and so is your first shared list. Every further shared list is a one-time purchase of EUR 0.99.
