2. What data we process

• Your email address, when you sign in via magic link
• The content you create in the app: list titles, items, photos
• Standard technical access logs from our hosting provider (e.g. IP address, access time) — routine server logging, not separately analyzed

3. What we use it for

Solely to provide the app's core function: signing you in, storing your lists, and sharing them with others. We run no tracking, no analytics software, and no advertising — MerkIchMir does not collect usage statistics beyond what's technically required to operate.

4. Where your data is stored

• Login data and list text content: on a server operated by ALL-INKL.COM in Germany
• Photos added to shared lists: on Amazon Web Services (AWS S3), USA region. This is a transfer outside the EU; AWS is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework
• Emails (magic-link sign-in): sent via the same German hosting provider, never handed to a third-party mailing service

Photos in purely private (unshared) lists never leave your device and are never stored on our servers.

5. Retention and deletion

Your data stays stored for as long as you use the app or a shared list. Deleting a list or photo removes it from our servers. To have your entire account (all data linked to your email address) deleted, just email us at hallo@merkichmir.app.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection regarding your data. Just contact hallo@merkichmir.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
